Terms of use

This website is run by D.M. Distributors, a unit of Datamation, Guwahati, Assam. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

The website is a product catalogue and enquiry service for dealers, system integrators, businesses and individual buyers. It is not an online shop, and you cannot buy or pay for goods on it. Sales are made by quotation and are covered by our terms of sale.

These terms should be read with:

• the privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal data;
• the cookie policy, which lists the browser storage the website uses;
• the disclaimer and trademarks pages.

You may browse the website, print or save pages for your own business use, and send us enquiries.

To send an enquiry you must be 18 or older and, if you write for a business, authorised to do so. You are responsible for the details you enter in our forms being accurate and complete.

We may suspend or restrict access to the website at any time, for example for maintenance or if we believe these terms are being broken.

Product names, model codes, specifications, images and document links come mainly from the manufacturers and their official websites. We take care over what we publish, but manufacturers revise products, specifications and packaging without notice, and the same model can differ between batches and regions.

Use the website as a guide, not as a guarantee:

• Check specifications against the manufacturer's datasheet or the product box before you design a system or place an order.
• The website shows no prices. A price applies only when it is stated in a written quotation from us.
• Stock changes. A product being listed does not mean we hold it, or that the manufacturer is currently supplying it in India.
• Images are for reference. The product supplied can differ in colour, accessories or packaging.

Enquiry list. The Add to enquiry list button saves product names and quantities in your browser so that you can send them together. The list stays on your device until you send it, remove the items or clear your browser data. Nothing in it reaches us until you send an enquiry.

Forms. When you send a form, the website opens WhatsApp (the app or WhatsApp Web) with your enquiry typed into a message addressed to our sales number. Nothing reaches us until you press send in WhatsApp. We use the details as described in the privacy policy.

WhatsApp. WhatsApp is a service of Meta. Its terms of service and privacy policy apply to messages you send through it, and we do not control them.

An enquiry is not an order. Sending an enquiry, or receiving a reply or quotation from us, does not create a contract to supply goods. A contract is formed only as set out in the terms of sale.

The design, layout, text and software of this website, the names D.M. Distributors and Datamation, and our logo belong to us or our licensors.

Brand names, logos, product images and manufacturers' documents belong to their owners. See trademarks.

You may view the website and print or save pages for your own business use. You must not copy, republish or sell its content, or build a catalogue or database from it, without our written permission. If you want to use a brand's images or documents, ask the brand that owns them.

You must not:

• use the website in breach of any law;
• use automated tools to collect content or data from the website in bulk, or to send enquiries;
• try to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers or the data on them, or probe or test their security without our written permission;
• introduce malicious code or do anything that interferes with how the website works;
• give false details in a form, or pretend to be another person or business;
• use our forms to send advertising, spam or unrelated messages;
• present our content as your own, or suggest that we or a brand endorse you.

The website links to manufacturers' official websites for datasheets, drivers, firmware and manuals, and to WhatsApp. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement. Their own terms apply when you use them.

We try to keep the website accurate and available, but it is provided as it is, without any promise that it will be free from errors or interruption.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the website or reliance on its content, including indirect or consequential loss and loss of profit, business or data.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law, or your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

We may change the website and these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. Using the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.

A change to the terms of sale does not apply to an order we have already confirmed.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Guwahati, Assam have jurisdiction over any dispute about the website, subject to any right a consumer has to approach a Consumer Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
